Sunset Beach Hotel - Kotu

The staff is exemplary, always smiling and eager to assist! I even got my watch returned to my room after I forgot it at the pool.

The setting of hotel was marvellous, on the beach.

Absolutely fabulous place, it was fairly clean and had competent staff at check-out. The location was wonderful for trip in Kotu. A market and a small store were right next door.

The pool temperature could be improved as it felt shockingly cold!!! More umbrellas around the pool area would definitely enhance the experience during hot days!!! A variety of food choices could benefit from some creativity!!!

Greatly enjoyed how the functional room on your own balcony was arranged when we arrived. It had GOOD facilities in the bathroom: a walk-in shower and bath sheets. The hotel had a stunning and absolutely perfect location near Kotu Stream River.

The beach location is a major highlight, allowing the sounds of the ocean to lull you to sleep. Always ready to assist with a smile. The dining options featured fresh products, and meals were consistently tasty throughout the stay. Some areas, especially around the pool, could benefit from more shaded spaces, and maintaining the garden would enhance the natural beauty. Limited variety for lunch was noted, though the flavors made up for it.

Rooms feel dated, which might bother some. I found the furniture to be quite old and showing its age. Toilet leaks created a minor issue with a constantly damp bathroom, and air conditioning problems were troublesome, with consistent leaks in my room. The mini fridge had trouble closing properly. Check-in and check-out times added to the inconvenience, as I experienced a wait after leaving my room-no real areas were provided to hang out comfortably until my departure.

The room was super comfy and had a nice balcony with a garden view. Free toiletries and a replenishable bottle of water were handy. The pool was beautiful with beach views, and breakfast was a feast with loads of options. The staff were attentive, especially Alex from housekeeping. WiFi worked okay. I managed a video call with just a few hiccups.

The location is fantastic, with the beach just a short stroll away, great to enjoy the soothing sounds of the ocean. The gardens enhance the overall experience and provide a serene and lush atmosphere that's ideal for nature lovers. The dining options consistently featured fresh ingredients, highlighting local flavors that celebrated the region.

We encountered some challenges with housekeeping efficiency, particularly with room supplies.

Our stay lasted four nights and we couldn't ask for a better beach experience. The beach was just a quick walk away, and the variety of food served during lunch and dinner was impressive. The evening entertainment added a nice touch, although it could get a bit noisy at times due to the surrounding activity. Most staff members were attentive, making our visit enjoyable despite minor inconveniences with service speed at times.
